In the sequel to Staging a Mystery, Harambee sees Vivienne take control of the narrative: through her point of view, the story unravels as Bram’s past marks converge, each carrying fragments of grievance and truth, until their collective pursuit threatens to strip away his carefully built façade and expose him, until the hunter finds himself the hunted.

Beginning in 1816 Paris and spanning two continents, the Napoleonic Wars, and the Bourbon Restoration, Lodestar captures survival, colonialism, and the cost of legacy in post-Medusa Senegal.
